The struggle for gender equality is not about one appointed day – and our passion for gender equality ought not be relegated to a single calendar date. So why do we celebrate? We passionately embrace International Women’s Day because this is our opportunity to reflect, and reaffirm our commitment for gender equality, civil liberties, dignity, progress and human rights. So, it is a very important day to us indeed.

Grapefruit Face Cleanser was the first product we developed at MALIN+GOETZ and has ranked in our top three best-sellers since our brand’s launch in 2004. I am often asked, “what is your favorite product?” and this is it. The formula was inspired by my personal struggles with rosacea, eczema, seborrhea and fragrance allergies (more on that here) and fills the bill.

So, it’s President’s Day. Unless you work for a bank or the government, or you’ve got kids in school – most of us don’t give President’s Day much thought; except of course for the sales. It’s sort of a silly holiday, even if it was originally nobly created to celebrate Washington’s Birthday, and later to include Lincoln as well.
